Coloring outside the lines.

Sure you can create on any-sized space, but what artist doesn’t appreciate the freedom a big screen with crystal-clear detail offers? With iPad Pro’s impressive 12.9-inch screen providing  2,732 x 2,048 pixel resolution, you can now continue to “color outside the lines” and “draw outside the box” without being forced to make unwanted cuts or regretted revisions to your original idea. While many artists used the first-generation iPad Mini to sketch out ideas, it often ended up being too small to actually start some serious drawing on it.

A Pencil for your thoughts

Created by a designer for the designer, the Apple Pencil is heralded as the most amazing stylus in the Milky Way Galaxy.  This fine-point instrument not only is visually spectacular, but also is natural to hold and lag-free ~ giving you the feel of drawing with a normal pencil. Created with multiple pressure sensors, the Apple Pencil enables you to draw any kind of line with ease ~ from very fine pristine lines and thick brush-like strokes, to watercolor paint’s aesthetic on paper. Thanks to the strategically-placed two tilt sensors built right into the tip of the Pencil, it readily detects the exact angle of your hand ~ allowing you to tilt it to mimic holding charcoal to simulate side shading with accuracy.  Apple designed the Pencil stylus with such an attention to detail that the iPad Pro can detect whether you’re using the Pencil or your finger ~ even when both touch the screen simultaneously. In fact, you could draw a fine line with Pencil and then instantly smudge it with your finger!  No need to wonder or worry if the charge on the Pencil will last through your inspiration; it will keep on steadfastly creating at one sitting longer than you will (an impressive 12 hours). For those all-nighters when you are still drawing into the next twilight, however, you can get 30 more minutes on it after just 15 seconds in a lighting port!

While you certainly don’t have to be a professional animator or illustrator to use the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, they were purposefully designed to be fully utilized and embraced by the artist.
