MelroseMAC as a company is a tight-nit, supportive community, and each store is immersed and thriving in its own customer community, too. The neighborhoods around our stores have their own life, quirks and driving factors.
A buzzing creative community surrounds MelroseMAC Hollywood, and we were lucky enough to hear from a long-time customer, David Garnish, on his experience with MelroseMAC.
Dave Garnish, owner of Garnish Music Production & DJ School, hails from London, UK, and has run his school there for many years. As one would expect in the Entertainment business, David has been dashing back and forth between the UK and Los Angeles for years before he decided to set up a second location in Hollywood – right down the street on Melrose Ave!
“When we decided on the site for our music production courses, I was pleased that MelroseMAC was just a stones throw away, as I have been popping into MelroseMAC for 12 years whenever in LA, so having them as our supplier of all things Mac was a no-brainer.”
It’s true; we’ve been seeing David for years in Hollywood. Now, we’ve had the opportunity to set him up with equipment for his LA-based school, and we get to be his go-to for service, as well.
“The first thing we bought were six iMac for the studio, and as expected, they had exactly what we wanted in stock and ready to go. Since then, I dropped my personal MacBook Pro, and it hasn’t been the same since. I took it in to the MelroseMAC service center, and a swift diagnostic was made, and off to Apple it went. Given that I can’t be without a portable Mac for longer than the time it takes to download a megabyte, I asked if they had a top-spec, new MacBook Air with the ridiculous battery life, 500GB HDD and 8GB RAM. Of course they did, so I am writing this on it now. My MacBook Pro will come in useful on the Traktor DJ Course.
“It’s just great and so handy to have these guys just down the road. The staff is super friendly, and the techies really know their stuff, and I look forward to picking up my MacBook Pro when it is ready. I’m wondering what else I will come out of the store with!”
